New Dawn – A short poem

The dawn of a new day I await,
A day where no child will cry in pain.

A day where no bullets will cut the air,

A day in which laughter will fill the air.

The time of a generation

Who lives as a unique nation.

To them war is just a word

A memory from long before.

So patiently I hope and wait for a new dawn.

  1. ” To them war is just a word. A memory from long before ” I liked this line the most. I hope this too, my friend. Someday perhaps , with the arrival of a new dawn , the majestic rays of the sun would finally destroy all the obscurity around , and then we would read words like war and terrorism only in history text books! Someday..
