Silent Pain

You can’t see what’s always there

You can’t feel the void in her life

Or hear her silent cries.

Her constant companion is pain,

Every morning brings a new ache.

Still she stands tall,

Puts her make up on,

Lives her life pretending nothing is wrong.

Like a secret soldier she goes on,

Trying her best everyday,

So you never see her silent pain.
